Our technology re-educates and enhances the neuromuscular connection

It’s not bigger or stronger muscles that make someone a better athlete. Bigger muscles also do not allow someone to throw faster or run faster.

The reason someone can run faster, jump higher, or is more athletic is that their brain and nervous system are functioning better.

The nervous system controls every muscle and joint movement. Before a muscle can contract it needs a signal from your nervous system. Therefore, when you train the nervous system everything is better.

Our methods focus on training the nervous system by reconnecting and enhancing the communication between the brain and the muscles and joints.

Neuromuscular Re-training for Enhanced Sports Performance and Injury Prevention

Our technology re-educates and enhances the neuromuscular connection.

In order for a muscle to contract, it must first receive a message from the nervous system to contract. When there is a disruption in this signal harmful compensation patterns can occur that cause pain and limit activity.

If you train your nervous system, you will likely have less pain, a better range of motion, and improvement and enhance your daily function.

Find and treat hot spots that cause pain and dysfunction.

Where you are experiencing pain is not always where the true problems are.

Our “Hunting Technique” is a procedure where the electrode is moved around the body while the stimulation is on. This helps us find hot spots or areas of dysfunction that are commonly affecting an injury or pain. These hot spots are often not located where the pain is.

Failure to treat these areas often leads to a return of symptoms. Finding and treating hot spots is essential to pain relief and injury recovery.

The Phoenix Waveform is a square wave with a carrier at 10 kHz, and zero net charge but tweaked to have a DC component; it is coupled with a low-frequency waveform at 500 Hz and 500 µs of pulse width positive and 500 µs negative and options at 300µs pulse width positive and 300 µs negative.  Electron flow is reversible.

The Phoenix causes deep muscle contraction but still allows a full active range of motion. Eccentric training, strong muscle contractions by the Phoenix then lengthening the muscles through specific mobility protocols are integral to the Phoenix recovery and training protocols.

From an amp (amperes) point of view and from a waveform shape point of view, this waveform is one of the most powerful EMS units out there.

What is the difference between the PRO and Elite Models?

The Elite has one more program called the Phoenix Plus which is a little stronger than the Phoenix Hunt (at 500HZ or 500 contractions per second). A longer pulse duration than the other Phoenix Program. This is an extremely strong program.

The main difference is the size. The PRO is a little bigger than a cell phone. The PRO unit will warm up a little and the screen may fade a little if it is running at a high intensity for a long time. It is not a problem, just a side effect of having such a strong program in such a small unit.

However, since the PRO unit is so small, it is easy to travel with, you can just put it in your pocket and do the therapy, mobility, and rehab exercises. People do weight training with it, run with it on, ski, skate, cycle, or do any type of movement.

What people are saying about the Phoenix Waveform?

“A little background on me: retired 74-year-old, physically active with weights and playing basketball.  I work a part-time job that requires physical exertion.”

“Over the years I have had a lot of nagging injuries that would go away and then come back.  Since using the Phoenix Wave most I have seen improvement in almost all of the discomfort.  The tennis elbow has decreased significantly.  I have avoided surgery for a pinched ulnar nerve.  With taking the supplements recommended and using the Phoenix Wave, I am seeing a decrease in the intermittent pain associated with only 20% cartilage of the knee medial meniscus left.”

“I would wholeheartedly recommend the Phoenix Wave to anyone who has chronic injuries and anyone who is recovering from torn muscles and/or ligaments, not to mention any strain or sprain.” – JC

“NXT Superstar Riddick Moss has made a full recovery following a torn Achilles heel. The injury was expected to take approximately 8 months to completely heal, but Moss has returned after only 5 months. In a tweet, Moss claimed it is, “faster than any athlete from any sport ever.”

“I appreciate all the technology, it has helped me a lot. I don’t use my Therastim much anymore now.” -Dr. JK, Chiropractic Physician

“The Therastim has been my go-to modality for about 15 years. Everything I was able to do with the Therastim I can do with the Phoenix. It is like an upgraded Therastim.” – Dr. Jeff Banas

"I enjoy walking for both exercise and to keep my weight down, I do like to eat a lot sometimes. I had injured my knee a number of years ago and had been told I would need surgery. My knee had gotten painful enough lately that I was starting to check into Orthopedic Surgeons and had cut way back on my walking. My wife heard of Merl’s treatment and tried it for a hip problem, it seemed to help her but I still looked at it as a hocus pocus stuff. I finally decided to try it before visiting a Doctor, so glad I did. After 3 treatments my knee is pain-free and I have better movement than I have had in over 5 years."  Lindsay – (From: PHOENIX WAVE BOQUETE, Haven Spa – Bajo Boquete, Chiriqui, Panama) area

Hip Replacement

After undergoing a recent, full hip replacement of the right hip I was having difficulty with range of motion, swelling, and pain. Although I was doing physical therapy the results were very slow. As I worked on recovering from surgery and getting back to “normalcy” some of the physical therapy exercises caused stress to my right knee.

Consequently, I had to limit the amount of physical therapy for my hip, and start physical therapy for my knee as well. The knee problem was a major setback for the recovery of my right hip. I was afraid that I had hurt my knee to the point where I would need knee surgery. The knee pain and the hip pain were awful. They limited my ability to get around or stand. I had difficulty going up and down the stairs, and getting in and out of the car.

A young man that works at the Haven Spa suggested that I try this new therapy called Phoenix Wave therapy that uses electrical current to stimulate the muscles and perhaps I could get some relief. I was skeptical, a total non-believer, but I was in pain and stressed about perhaps knee surgery after a hip replacement.

So, I took a shot at it. After meeting Merl and getting through the preliminaries he introduced me to the Phoenix Wave machine and went right into the first treatment, treating the piriformis muscle, for my right hip, forty minutes later I was, for the first time since surgery, without pain and had much more range of motion and ease of mobility.

I had two more sessions in the weeks to come and then we focused on the right knee. I had two separate sessions for my right knee, with one session which was part in the office and part on the exercise machine and the Phoenix Wave machine working together, this was the turning point for my knee.

I am here to tell you that my right knee has recovered and the only thing we have done to it is the Phoenix Wave therapy. My right hip and my right knee are in very good shape and the pain is gone. I am now able to go up and down the stairs with ease and using alternating steps, can get in and out of the car with no problems at all. I just purchased a bicycle and will start a new phase in my life by cycling since running is out of the question. The Phoenix Wave therapy has been a total game-changer for me so far.

Thank you Merl for all your help and support!  Luis – Boquete, Panama – (From: PHOENIX WAVE BOQUETE, Haven Spa – Bajo Boquete, Chiriqui, Panama)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

What if I do not know how to use this technology?

Purchase of a Phoenix INCLUDES unlimited training and support directly with Dr. Jeff Banas. Dr. Banas has been a sports chiropractic physician for almost 30 years and has been doing Neuro-therapy with the ARPwave and Therastim for around 16 years.

You can contact Dr. Banas anytime you have questions and he will help guide you through whatever you need.

How does the Phoenix Compare to the ARPwave and Therastim?

The ARPwave and Therastim were my "go-to" modalities for around 16 years. Everything we were able to do with the ARPwave and Therastim, we have been able to do even better with the Phoenix because of some of the updates we built into the Phoenix.

The ARPwave and Therastim are sine waves whereas the Phoenix is a square wave. A sinewave is very crude, therefore to obtain some result they have to crank it up to a point where you feel a lot of pins and needles. Do not let the size of the Phoenix units fool you. We have a waveform more powerful than the Therastim/ARP, both from an amp (Ampères) point of view and from a waveform shape point of view.  Our waveform (square) is also cleaner, and more efficient, and by virtue of the fact that it is generated with square wavefronts, so it is not necessary to turn the intensity as high as you can.

In other words, a square wave gets more bang for the buck than a sine wave.

The Phoenix Waveform also has other helpful currents built into it, such as Frequency Specific Microcurrents.

Can you do APRwave protocols with the Phoenix?

Yes. As mentioned above, everything we were able to do with the ARPwave and Therastim, we have been able to do with the Phoenix.

Can you do the Water or "Bucket" Treatment with the Phoenix?

Yes.

Can you seek out "hot spots" or trigger points and do body mapping with the Phoenix?

Yes. That is our HUNT Program

Can you use the electrode glove and do a massage and stimulation combo?

Yes.

What is “microcurrent” and when is it effective?

In the fields of regenerative medicine and natural healing techniques, Frequency-Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a cutting-edge treatment that helps your body repair and heals itself. Frequency-Specific Microcurrent is an FDA-approved solution for treating pain and improving your body’s functions at a cellular level.

One of the ways FSM works is by potentially increasing the production of a substance called ATP that’s inside injured tissues. ATP is the major source of energy for all cellular reactions in your body. Because treatment with FSM can increase the amount of ATP that’s created in your damaged cells by as much as 500%, this treatment may help with your recovery. Depending on the condition, treatment with FSM can “loosen” or soften the muscles, which can help relieve pain or stiffness.

What is the difference between the Phoenix PRO and Elite Edition?

The main difference is the size. The PRO is a little bigger than a cell phone. The PRO unit will warm up a little and the screen may fade a little if it is running at a high intensity for a long time. It is not a problem, just a side effect of having such a strong program in such a small unit.

However, since the PRO unit is so small, it is easy to travel with, you can just put it in your pocket and do the therapy, mobility, and rehab exercises. People do weight training with it, run with it on, ski, skate, cycle, or do any type of movement.

You can of course do the same thing with the Elite Unit, however, it is about 4 times the size of the PRO. The Elite has two larger batteries in it. Due to this and the larger size of the Elite, it does not warm up and it has a much larger battery. Both units can run on battery or while plugged into the wall.
