Injuries and Pain
-Hunting Technique (moving the pads over the muscles, tendon, and ligaments while the stimulation is on) Hunting for the origin of pain and other dysfunctions often away from the patient’s injury or pain. When the source of the pain has been eliminated and the brain and muscles a sending the right signals to each other the result is often faster injury recovery, relief from chronic pain and reoccurring injuries, and even a faster or stronger athlete.
HUNT PROGRAM 500 contractions/sec. The Phoenix Waveform causes deep muscle contraction but still allows a full active range of motion. While the muscles are being contracted, we take the clients through eccentric (muscle lengthening) motions and exercises. 500 contractions/sec
-Over the area of injury to increase blood flow, restore ATP, Loosen muscles, promote healing, loosen restricted muscles
Neuro biomechanical Rehabilitation
*Evaluated muscle inhibition, overexcitation, and compensation
*Neurobiomechanical re-education. Restore and enhance brain, muscle, and joint communication
+Electric stimulation is applied over the inhibited muscles and the client performs excise to restore proper firing, and muscle activation to get them and get them doing the job they are supposed to do.
+Training muscles, joints, and nervous system to absorb force. Electric stimulation is placed on the muscle then plyometric eccentric exercises are performed.
Preparation for Training And Athletic Performance
-Neural Warm Up, Muscle Activation, Prepare the Body to Absorb Force, Mobility, and Muscle Loosening
*Designed to prepare your body to perform – no matter what sport or activity. Don’t let the name “warm up” fool you, the Neural and Muscle Activation is a workout in and of itself.
*This can be done as a standalone therapy session for Chronic Pain Syndrome, Neurological Disorders, and preparing for activity.
*Electric muscle stimulation (500 contractions per sec) is placed over the muscles and joints for the purpose of afferent neural stimulation (nerve impulse from the joints and muscle to the central nervous system) to restore and enhance brain, muscle, and joint communication in preparation for movement or activity.
*The electrodes are placed over the belly of the muscles then the Phoenix 300-500 HZ program is used at light to moderate intensity. The muscle is then taken through its full range of motion with a focus on the eccentric (muscle lengthening) movement. Then the client does faster plyometric exercises. Thus, activating the muscle and preparing them to absorb and repel force. Electrode pads are placed starting on the bottom of the foot and then working up through all the muscles wanting to activate.
*Electrode pads are also placed over the joints with electric stimulation (300-500 HZ) then joint-specific exercises (such as Z-Health) joint specific exercises are performed. The goal is to create afferent neural stimulation (nerve impulse from the joints and muscles to the central nervous system) to restore and enhance brain and joint communication in preparation for movement or activity. Stimulation is started at the metatarsals and then up the chain to the ankle joint, knee joints, and so on.
Neurobiomechanical Enhancement
-For Chronic Pain Syndrome, Neurological Disorders, preparing for activity.
-Neural Warm Up, Muscle Activation, Prepare the Body to Absorb Force, Mobility, and Muscle Loosening
*Designed to re-educate the nervous system and restore and enhance brain, muscle, and joint communication.
*This method is the same method used for “Preparation For Training And Athletic Performance”

NEURO RECOVERY Sleep, Nap, and Zero Programs are used when you want neurological stimulation without any muscle contraction
The SLEEP PROGRAMS setting is like the Therastim settings: Main Pulse Frequency 500 PPS, Duty Cycle 0/20 OFF.
We made frequency 1 HZ contraction for a few reasons. First, the client would know the waveform is on and working. If we put the HZ at 0 (zero) the client would not feel anything because only the background currents are running. 1HZ also has a relaxing and calming effect. Like an external heartbeat like when you were in your mother’s womb listening to her heartbeat.
8-Hour SLEEP: (Runs about 8 hrs) Square wave with the carrier at 10 kHz, and zero net charge but tweaked to have a DC-like component; it is coupled with a low-frequency waveform at 1 Hz and 500 µs of pulse-width positive and 500 µs negative.
NAP: Same as sleep but runs about 1 hr.
Zero: SAME PROGRAM AS SLEEP but without the 1 HZ muscle contraction. A square wave with the carrier at 10 kHz, and zero net charges but tweaked to have a DC-like component; it is coupled with a low-frequency waveform at 1 Hz and 50 µs of pulse-width positive and 50 µs negative.
SLEEPING SETTING Injury: Channels 1 or 3 Pad Placement: Sandwich or Surround the Injury Intensity: You may not feel anything with Sleep or Nap, turn to 20. With Zero turns to the first sensation, this first time you feel a slight tapping Time: No time limit Full Body Recovery: Channels 1 or 3 Pad Placement: Behind Ears Intensity: You may not feel anything with Sleep or Nap, turn to 20. With Zero turns to first sensation, this first time you feel a slight tapping Time: 20 min to 60 min
The vagus nerve is called the “wandering nerve” because it’s the longest nerve in the human body and travels from the base of the brain up into the ears and down into the lower intestines Vagus nerve stimulation via the external ear using electronic devices has been shown to increase the “relaxation response” of the parasympathetic nervous system reduce fight-or-flight stress responses driven by the sympathetic nervous system.
Neuro biomechanical Rehabilitation (Injury Rehabilitation)
-Injuries, Chronic Injuries, Reoccurring injuries, Athletic Performance, Complex Pain Syndromes
-Evaluated muscle inhibition, overexcitation, and compensation
-Neuromuscular re-education. Restore and enhance brain, muscle, and joint communication
*Electric stimulation is applied over the inhibited muscles and the client performs excises to restore proper firing, and muscle activation to get them and get them doing the job they are supposed to do.
*Training muscles, joints, and nervous system to absorb force
+ Avoid/prevent non-contact injuries
+Electric Stimulation is placed over muscles and joints the proprioceptive exercises are done, designed to re-introduce your brain to the body. Done for movement prep before training or events, for chronic injuries and complex pain syndromes. Electric stimulation is placed on the muscle then plyometric eccentric exercises are performed.
Sports/Athletic Performance
– Start with a full body “HUNT and RELEASE”
-Neural Warm Up, Muscle Activation, Prepares Body to Absorb Force, Mobility, and Muscle Loosening

*Strength training safely with no pressure or load on the joints.
+Example: Someone who has a bad or degenerated knee should be doing strength exercises around the knee and the hip but traditional weight lifting will cause press/load on the knee joint. We can work around this problem by stimulating the muscles directly.
+EMS applied to muscles while a client is performing isometric, full range exercises, or eccentric exercises
Strength / Neuro-Training
-The nervous system controls every muscle and joint movement. When you train the nervous system, everything is better.
-It’s not big muscle do not make you throw faster or run faster. The reason someone can run faster, jump higher, or is more athletic is that their brain and nervous system are better.
-Traditional exercise, therapy, and rehabilitation often fail to achieve results because they are not treating the true origin of the pain or injury and/or they are not reconnecting the brain to the muscles and joints.
-Muscle inhibition, activation, and muscle compensation are major causes of chronic and re-occurring injuries and pain.
*If muscle inhibition, activation, or muscle compensation exists and you are not also neurological treating the body, you may just be reinforcing bad or improper movement patterns and muscle compensation.
-Strength training safely with no pressure or load on the joints.
+Apply electric stimulation over weak muscles and perform strength training exercises while the muscles are being stimulated. The goal of increasing muscle recruitment.

*Training muscles, joints, and nervous system to absorb force and promote faster muscle firing. Electric stimulation is placed on the muscle then plyometric eccentric (muscle lengthening) exercises are performed.
*Using electrical stimulation during movement-based training with the goal to build stronger, more optimized connections between your brain and muscles thereby acquiring faster muscle memory.
Postural Correction
– Cosmetic. Looks, upright better posture
-Neuromuscular re-education. Restore and enhance brain, muscle, and joint communication

– Functional
*Functional Movement Screen
-Muscle loosening, and strengthening based on the Functional Movement Screen
-Injury prevention based on the Functional Movement Screen Model.
* Scoliosis and therapy for other functional deformities
-Apply Phoenix over tight and/or restricted muscles, With the muscle contraction, have the client go through eccentric exercises thereby lengthening the tight muscles. (Eccentric Muscle Contraction and Mobility)

Facial/Skin Rejuvenation
-Microcurrent G-Pulse (Facial)
-Uses a probe and an amino acids-based skin cream. Think of a wrinkle as a line, the current runs between the 2 balls so slowly move the probe back and forth with the wrinkle, scar, or whatever you are going to treat. Also, go up and down over the area (the opposite of what I said) Select a small area and focus on that are treating for a long time. There is really no perfect movement.
-The G Pulse treatments increase circulation and give the necessary energy to sustain cellular metabolism and protein synthesis of skin cells.
-The micro-current increases the absorption of amino acids by the skin by almost 40%.
