Phoenix Waveform Program List

The Phoenix, known for its constant renewal through fiery rebirth, inspires the Phoenix Waveform electric muscle stimulation device. Named after this mythical bird, it embodies continuous transformation, rejuvenating the body, relieving pain, and enhancing movement and athletic capabilities. It reflects the Phoenix's symbolism of renewal, empowering individuals striving for their best physical state.

Phoenix Waveform

Waveform: Square wave with a carrier at 10 kHz, and zero net charge with a direct current (DC) component; it is coupled with a low-frequency waveform at 500 Hz and 500 µs of pulse width positive and 500 µs negative and options at 300µs pulse width positive and 300 µs negative.  Electron flow is reversible. The output is a constant current going up to 120 mA on channels 1 and 3.

Under physiological conditions frequency of the nervous system, a neuron's maximum firing rate is typically 500 Hz.

The Phoenix causes deep muscle contraction but still allows a full active range of motion. Eccentric training, strong muscle contractions by the Phoenix then lengthening the muscles through specific mobility protocols are integral the Phoenix recovery and training protocols.

From an amp (amperes) point of view and from a waveform shape point of view, this waveform is one of the most powerful EMS units out there.

PHOENIX PROGRAM

Pulse Frequency: 1-500 PPS

Pulse Duration: 600µs and 1000µs

Direct current (DC) component in all Phoenix named programs, Nap, Sleep, 8hr Sleep

Polarity: The direction of electron flow is reversible

Power Source: Rechargeable battery. The number of treatments depends on output intensity

Don't worry if you don't fully understand all these HZs, training and unlimited support is included.

  • Phoenix Hunt: 500 Hz, pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative
  • Phoenix Wave: 300Hz pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative.
  • Phoenix Wave: 165Hz pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative.
  • Phoenix Wave: 135Hz pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative.
  • Phoenix Wave: 40 Hz pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative.
  • Phoenix Wave: 10 Hz pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative.
  • Zero: The main current is removed. Background DC current running. For when you want neuro-stimulation without muscle contraction.
  • Nap: Main current at 1HZ, background DC current running. For when you want neuro-stimulation without muscle contraction.
  • E.C.O. (Endorphin, Circulation, Oxygenation) Cycling from 12-8 Hz in 30 sec and back for the first 6 minutes; then cycling from 8-4 Hz in 30 sec and back for the next 6 minutes.

  • Sleep: Main current at 1HZ, background DC current running. For when you want neuro-stimulation without muscle contraction
  • Microcurrents: Microcurrent stimulation to the body causes radically increased production of ATP levels. This allows the body to perform whatever healing process it has undertaken in an accelerated fashion. It may even allow one to get over the proverbial “hump” that was unachievable, due to insufficient ATP concentrations to perform the changes needed.
  • Microcurrent G-Pulse (Fascial). The G Pulse treatments increase circulation and give the necessary energy to sustain cellular metabolism and protein synthesis of skin cells.
  • KOTZ (Russian Stimulation)
  • Interferential (Pain, edema)

When to use the varios Hz program and what they do:

500 Hz – High-Intensity Activation

This is one of the most effective programs, a high-frequency setting is ideal for acute injuries.

  • When to Use: If you’re dealing with severe pain, nerve compression, need rapid muscle activation or significant muscle weakness.
  • Goals: It rapidly 'wakes up' your nerves and muscles, providing an immediate boost in activation and kick-starting the healing process. Enhances the brain to muscle connection.
  • For example, if you’ve experienced a traumatic injury that leaves you with severe dysfunction, 500 Hz can jump-start your recovery.

300 Hz – Intense Neuromuscular Re-Education

This setting delivers intense neuromuscular stimulation, just a step down from 500 Hz.

  • When to Use: In the early recovery phase of a moderate injury or when muscle weakness is present.
  • Goals: It helps restore motor control and build strength while reducing acute pain.
This frequency is great for those who need a strong stimulus to re-educate their muscles without the full intensity of 500 Hz.

165 Hz – Moderate Stimulation for Transitional Recovery

This moderate frequency is perfect during the transitional recovery phase.

  • When to Use: When you’re moving from the acute injury stage to ongoing rehabilitation, especially if you still experience some pain and weakness.
  • Goals: It gradually improves range of motion, increases muscle strength, and enhances coordination.
This setting is ideal for patients who are steadily recovering but need a balanced stimulus to keep progressing."

135 Hz – Gentle Activation for Chronic Rehabilitation

A gentle frequency for chronic rehabilitation.

  • When to Use: For long-term issues such as chronic joint pain or inflammation, or when your tissues are sensitive.
  • Goals: It reduces chronic pain, promotes blood flow, and improves joint mobility over time without overstimulating the tissue.
  • For those with persistent discomfort, 135 Hz provides a safer, sustained therapy option

  • 40 Hz – Low-Frequency Modulation for Maintenance
  • A low-frequency setting designed for maintenance.

  • When to Use: Once you’ve made significant recovery progress, or for mild pain modulation and injury prevention.
  • Goals: It supports neuromuscular balance, enhances joint stability, and helps prevent re-injury—especially useful for older athletes or those prone to recurring issues.

10 Hz – Ultra-Low Frequency for Pain Relief and Flexibility

Our ultra-low frequency setting.

  • When to Use: In late-stage rehabilitation or for chronic pain management where maximum comfort is required.
  • Goals: It gently relaxes hypertonic muscles, reduces chronic pain, and increases overall flexibility and range of motion with minimal discomfort. This setting is best for maintaining long-term improvements while keeping therapy as comfortable as possible.

Differences between Elite and Pro models.

The Elite has one more program called the Phoenix Plus which is a little stronger than the Phoenix Hunt (at 500HZ or 500 contractions per second). A longer pulse duration than the other Phoenix Program. This is a powerful program Phoenix Plus: 500 Hz, 500 µs of pulse-width positive, and 500 µs negative.

The other Phoenix Programs are pulse-width 300 positive and 300 µs negative.

The main difference is the size. The PRO is a little bigger than a cell phone. The PRO unit is so small, it is easy to travel with, you can just put it in your pocket and do the therapy, mobility, and rehab exercises. People do weight training with it, run with it on, ski, skate, cycle, or do any type of movement.

You can of course do the same thing with the Elite Unit, however, it is about 4 times the size of the PRO. The Elite has two larger batteries in it. Due to this and the larger size of the Elite, it does not warm up and it has a much larger battery. Both units can run on battery or while plugged into the wall.

If you have used the Therastim or ARPwave at high intensities, the Elite is a better way to go. The waveform of Sine Waves is very crude, therefore to obtain some result they have to crank it up to a point where you feel a lot of pins and needles. Do not let the size of the Phoenix units fool you. We have a waveform more powerful than the Sine Waves, both from an amp (Ampères) point of view and from a waveform shape point of view.  Our waveform (square) is also cleaner, and more efficient, and by virtue of the fact that it is generated with square wavefronts, so it is not necessary to turn the intensity as high as you can.

In other words, a square wave gets more bang for the buck than a sine wave. Please read over the attached on why we used a square wave over a sine wave.

So, Elite –  4X the size, has the Phoenix Plus Program, a larger battery ($4100)

PRO, no Phoenix Plus, smaller and more compact. ($3500)
