The Phoenix Waveform doesn't stop when the active training session is over.

Phoenix combines our direct-current neuromuscular stimulation with a separate library of low-intensity Microcurrent programs designed to complement recovery.

During active Phoenix training, direct-current stimulation is used to help identify areas of altered electrical response, activate muscles, produce strong but tolerable muscular contractions, and integrate stimulation with active movement.

Microcurrent takes a very different approach.

Instead of creating a strong muscle contraction, Microcurrent uses extremely small electrical currents, measured in microamperes (µA)—to provide low-level electrical stimulation to the tissues.

Phoenix Microcurrent is designed to operate below sensation, meaning you may feel very little, or nothing at all, while the program is running.

WHAT IS MICROCURRENT?

Electrical Stimulation at a Completely Different Scale

Most conventional electrical muscle stimulation operates at current levels measured in milliamperes (mA).

Microcurrent operates at much lower levels measured in microamperes (µA)—one-millionth of an ampere.

Microcurrent therapy uses extremely low-level electrical currents that can be similar in magnitude to naturally occurring cellular electrical activity.

Because the current is so small, Microcurrent isn't primarily intended to create a powerful muscle contraction.

Its purpose is different:

HOW DO I USE MICROCURRENT ON THE PHOENIX?

Choose the Micro program that corresponds with your treatment goal.

STEP 2 — USE THE GREY LEADS

Phoenix Microcurrent programs use the grey leads.

STEP 3 — USE CHANNELS 1 AND 3

Microcurrent operates through Channels 1 and 3 only on the Phoenix.

STEP 4 — POSITION THE ELECTRODES

For many applications, Phoenix uses a simple concept we call:

SURROUND THE DRAGON

Identify the painful, tender, irritated, or injured area and position the electrodes around that region.

Other Phoenix protocols may use condition-specific electrode placements.

STEP 5 — START THE PROGRAM

Once the electrodes are positioned, activate the Microcurrent program.

Remember:

MICROCURRENT SHOULD BE BELOW SENSATION.

You don't need to feel a strong electrical sensation for the Microcurrent program to be running.
